MEDIUM AND STYLE
Busy seek-and-find panorama illustration, crisp outlines, hundreds of small characters and objects, each telling a tiny story, clear colour coding by district. Divide the scene into recognisable districts, each with its own colour theme, connected by paths; no repeated identical figures.
SCENE
An animated arctic coast is teeming with life in the lively polar summer. Polar bears with cubs frolic near the water's edge while walruses lounge lazily on the rocks. Puffins dive gracefully through the air, and arctic foxes play hide and seek among the snow. In the serene blue waters, narwhals and belugas glide past, their silhouettes creating dynamic shapes. A research hut buzzes with scientists observing the habitat, as kayakers paddle by, and an impressive icebreaker approaches the horizon, creating rippling waves. Focal point: A mother polar bear with her two cubs on the left-center of the scene. Foreground: A rocky shoreline with polar bears, walruses resting on the rocks, and puffins in flight. Midground: Blue arctic waters with narwhals and belugas swimming, a research hut and scientists. Background: The distant horizon shows an icebreaker cutting through icy waters and kayakers exploring the sea. Lighting: A bright polar summer day with sunlight illuminating the scene from the left, highlighting details and vibrant colours throughout the image. Colour zones: arctic blue #1f8fdc for arctic waters; glacial fawn #f7d45c for polar bear fur; mandarin red #f15454 for puffin beaks; moss green #83d15a for coastal vegetation; camel brown #d4a255 for rocky shores; purity white #ffffff for ice and snow; pearl pink #f0b3e0 for arctic fox fur. Small hidden details spread across different areas: A little arctic fox; The adventurous kayakers; A narwhal with a majestic horn; A scientist with binoculars; A polar bear hunting.
FORMAT
Portrait format 3:4 (2304×3072). Vertical composition: foreground, midground and background stacked from bottom to top, with interest reaching the top edge.
PUZZLE CALIBRATION
The picture will be cut into about 192 pieces (12 columns by 16 rows). A clear focal point surrounded by many secondary details; medium-sized colour regions, each with its own texture; a recognisable object or pattern fragment in every piece-sized area.
PUZZLE CRAFT (house rules)
Original artwork made to be printed and cut into a premium jigsaw puzzle. Edge-to-edge composition: the scene fills the whole canvas, corners and borders included, with real content in all four corners because players start with the edge pieces. Even distribution of interest: there is something to recognise in every area of the picture, with no large empty or uniform zone (no plain sky, flat water, blank wall or smooth gradient covering more than a small part of the image). Clear colour zoning: five to eight distinct colour families laid out in readable regions, so players can sort pieces into piles by colour. Inside each colour region, varied textures and small details (brick, foliage, fabric, ripples, patterns) so two pieces of the same colour still look different. Full tonal range with strong local contrast between neighbouring shapes; deep shadows keep detail and highlights never blow out. Everything in sharp focus from the foreground to the horizon: no depth-of-field blur, no bokeh, no motion blur, no haze or fog veils. Rich, saturated but print-safe colour, balanced warm and cool tones, even lighting that keeps every area legible. Layered depth: a detailed foreground, a lively midground and a structured background stacked through the frame. Small hidden stories and discoverable details spread across the canvas, rewarding a close look.
